by Steven ErteltLifeNews.com EditorJanuary 19, 2007
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) --

President Bush issued the following proclamation on Friday, declaring Sunday as National Sanctity of Human Life Day and urging Americans to take part in pro-life activities that recognize the humanity of the unborn child:

Funny, I haven't seen anything about this in the main stream media.

Here is the declaration:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Sunday, January 21, 2007, as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. I call upon all Americans to recognize this day with appropriate ceremonies and to underscore our commitment to respecting and protecting the life and dignity of every human being.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand seven, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-first.

GEORGE W. BUSH

Right About the Left

Michael Medved has posted the following:

Lefty Lies and Lunacy About Iraq

The angry reaction to the President’s new policy in Iraq displays an abundance of inconsistencies on the part of the administration’s critics.

He ends with this:

In other words, the best recruiting poster of al Qaeda isn’t an image of Uncle Sam that looks warlike and angry and dangerous, but a vision of our country that shows Americans as timorous, indecisive, guilt-ridden and easily intimidated. In other words, it’s not consistency and toughness and courage that recruit terrorists, but weakness, confusion, retreat and surrender. .

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Reducing Breast Cancer

I have not seen or heard much about this in the MSM:

Housework cuts breast cancer risk

The research on more than 200,000 women from nine European countries found doing household chores was far more cancer protective than playing sport. Dusting, mopping and vacuuming was also better than having a physical job.

....

Out of all of the activities, only housework significantly reduced the risk of both pre-and post-menopausal women getting the disease. Housework cut breast cancer risk by 30% among the pre-menopausal women and 20% among the post-menopausal women.

Imagine that. I bet if women were told that chewing shoe leather would reduce their risk of breast cancer, it would be on every newscast and talk show 24/7. But this news has been kept on the QT. I can't imagine why.
