In yesterday's Lectionary readings, the NT reading was Rom. 1:16-25. Todays' begins with Rom 1:28. Verses 26 and 27 have been skipped. Do you know what those verses state? Nevermind, I'll show you.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Hmmmm. Interesting bit of editing by those who developed the Lectionary, don't you think? Good timing as well with what is happening in Ireland this week.
