Over the last several years, the state of Florida has been the scene of some crazy news events.
1. Elian Gonzales, the six year old boy who survived the escape from Cuba, only to have Federal agents take him from his aunt's home at gunpoint and return him to Cuba.
2. The 2000 Presidential election and the famous hanging chads.
3. Terri Schiavo, the woman whose husband wants to kill by removing her feeding tube. Nothing seems to be able to stop the effort. Lawmakers at the local, state, and federal levels are trying to intervene.
